I am a British security researcher, currently Lecturer in Cyber Security at the University of Bristol. My area is what has sometimes been called 'security informatics' -- essentially, data science as applied to privacy and security problems. I mostly work with open data. I have worked on projects tackling the distribution of child abuse material, problems in online identity resolution, and the detection and prevention of mass-market fraud. Most recently I have been working on understanding cybercriminal behaviour from underground forum data.
